Bought this for my son for his 18th birthday. We have enjoyed the time together building this like we built his Legos years ago!
I was nervous about buying a non Lego set, but my 8 yo son specifically wanted the Big Boy train, which Lego does not have. We were both pleasantly surprised with the quality, packaging and instructions. My son specifically requested that I give it 5 stars.
If you’re a fan of Legos, Trains and Steam Locomotives, this item is for you! Personally, this took me about three days to complete, about 8 hours nonstop. I love the amount of detail put into making this set look like a miniature replica of the real thing. With a little modifications, it can be operational, but it is mostly made to be a display piece.
